What is your Vne?

Post by wildhorsesracing »

I looked online and found some documentation that said the Vne for my CB-1 was 105mph. We have been doing some practice with her and I set my idiot light to go off at 110mph. Well... we have exceeded it a few times and I was wondering what was the Vne other builders have seen?

My Hatz is a CB-1 w/O-320 - empty weight 1,070 lbs.

I figure my absolute Vne at around 135 mph. I redlined my a/s at about that. I will look when I get out to the hangar later to be sure. It's not a recommendation, it's
just what I did. I've seen 125 entering a loop although she will loop just fine at 115. The faster you fly, the lighter you need to be on g load pulls. You're probably cruising at 105 if you tach 2450. I can't imagine a Vne of 105mph.
