Fellow Hatzers

It’s that time of year again when we gather together for our annual Hatz/Pietenpol flyin at Brodhead WI. Our event begins Friday, July 22 through Sunday the 24th. We will again have a cocktail party, Newly dubbed the “President’s Reception “ on Friday beginning at 4:00 pm. Beer, wine, soda, water and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. There will be a Hatz Biplane Association board meeting on Saturday at 9:00 followed by the general membership meeting at 10:00. We will be holding a raffle of two Hatz Factory signs made and donated by Bob Burkholder.


Our Vice President, Mark Taylor, has been in communication with the chair of Vintage Aircraft at EAA, Susan Dunesbery, regarding Hatz parking at Oshkosh. She has indicated that Hatz biplanes are welcome to park in the vintage area, and will be grouped together. Parking personnel with Vintage are being advised. Hatz pilots are to present a sign with VAP on it to be directed to Vintage parking.

This, and being included in the Vintage hangar type clubs has come about by the efforts of Mark as well as our previous President Kevin Conner. A big Hatz off to the both of them!

We will again have a type club table in the Vintage Hangar during Airventure, and volunteers will be needed. Our forum will be presented on Monday, the 25th at 10:00.

Hoping to see many of you, and a good representation of airplanes at both events!
