cap strip for wing ribs
hey everyone, ted here with a question for the collective knowledge base. waiting on a classic plans set, but I have a question. I have an opportunity to buy some cap strip but am concerned about the strip lengths. the available cap strip seems to be 48' nominal lengths, can anyone fill in the length of the top and bottom strips? Will a four foot length do for the top and bottom of the rib ? once the plans get here from makelan I'm assuming that the answer will be oblivious but I thought I'd see if you guys could clear it up . thanks in advance, cheers, ted

Re: cap strip for wing ribs
4 feel would be good if they can be obtained at a reasonable price. My top ribs cap strip measures about 42" and the bottom is about 44". The measure is a little rough because my ribs are all built. Those are the biggest ribs, where the aileron is the rib is shorter.
