Something else to shove under the car. I need two things, more room and warmth, Pa. is cold this time of year.
Count me in Doug.
John, I have been following your pictures, it looks great. Do you live in the Poconos? I get up to Blue Mountain skiing almost every weekend.

Hi Doug,

Thank you very much for your support! We really hope to have together a group of 5 soon! If anyone is interested in having square tie rods for the wing internal rigging, we can make them! We saved quiet some weight by rolling them to 1/8" square section, rather than installing heavy 3/16" round wire!

Best regards

My (cheap) advise...buy them now, even if you're years away from needing them. It's been not too many years since I put together a group order and they were around $3,200 then. Last order was in the neighborhood of $4,000? It's a good price compared to what they'll be in the future. And they store well in the tube they come in. The wires themselves are individually encased in their own plastic baggies.

Thanks Doug!

Well, count me in. Since I'll be building wings soon, I'm interested in the internal rigging also; let me know.

Ed, I'm by Pocono Raceway. I insulated the walls and threw sheetrock up. I covered the ceiling joist with that silver stuff (like bubble wrap) and use one or two kerosene heaters (depending how cold it is). Works well for me. I'm building a section of rib for a destruction test. Then, onto the real thing! Your photos look good. Maybe we should meet sometime and compare notes. PM me or email jcronin737 at yahoo.com

If we are correct, then we see 3 interested US builders. On our part we are 2 builders. That would give the required 5 orders.
It would be great if those willing to buy the wire set right now, would write us an email and the we should set-up a list of requirements. On our part (Hans & Sam) we would like to buy a set for the Classic with lenghts as specified on the Makelan drawing. This would include round drawn tail wires. If there is anyone, who needs just one or a few wires, please let us know.
We would then negociate with Steen Aerolab on the price, but we think, that Steen Aerolab would then bill the sets individually and they also will ship the wires to each recipient (same as executed in previous orders). Our two sets would then be shipped to a Swiss firm located in North Carolina, which will put them in one of their containers destined for Switzerland. Hence the shipping costs for our wires within US area would not be more than for the others.

Now we hope, that we can go ahead and order the wires!

Kindest regards

That's correct. This really ends up being 5 individual orders through Steen aero that take place at the same time. Steen would place the order on behalf of the group and bill each person individually. The wire are shipped to Steen who then ships to the individual.

Hans, give Steen a call (or email) and let them know that you are planning another order. He can get you current pricing.

I would strongly encourage folks to take part in this as the prices only go up. Good luck!

Hi Hatz builders,

It seemed that we had a group of 5 together, but one dropped off. Is there anybody filling the gap?

Kind regards

Dear Hatz builders

Unfortunately, since one participant dropped off we remain just 4 members wanting to buy the wires! However, since Steen (and Bruntons) grant a discount for a minimum of 5 identical wire orders, we are really hoping that someone else might catch the train, so that we can place that order!

Please drop us an email at: hans.u@aeroplaneworks.ch when you decided to be a member of this party!

Kind regards
