OK, so I've finally bent my seats and they came out reasonably good. Although, I managed to miscalculate the bend location on the rear seat and wound up with a seat that is 1.5" too wide. So the question to the group is... does this really matter? I realize I could bend a new one, or cut the one I made and splice the two halves back together at the correct width... but do I need to bother? I can't see anything on the plans that having a wider seat would interfere with except for the trim handle, but I don't plan on using that setup anyway so for the sake of this discussion assume it will not be there.
Thoughts? I'm thinking of leaving it as is and having a wider seat.

Re: Seat dimensions
If something would interfere, I'm sure you'll catch it. You know, right after you finished covering and painting.

When I made the precise mistake you made, I cut and spliced. It was no big deal.

Re: Seat dimensions
BTW, what bolts are used to attach the seats? I don't see them called out on the plans anywhere - did I miss it? I'm fabricating the attachment points and need to know what size holes to drill.

Re: Seat dimensions
the Maklin seats came with 3/16" holes drilled for installation. Don't install too soon. It will be tempting to do it while yet uncovered, but if like me you need to put the seats in and out several times during the final assembly you will be glad not to have to remove the bolts

Thanks John. 3/16 it is, then.
