Starting Classic 142

Just introducing myself. Just purchased the wood I need for starting rib construction on my HC. Any other builders in North Central Texas?

I have built an RV-7 tail kit and started a scratch built Bearhawk Patrol... Sold both projects, but have the itch again. The Hatz plans I purchased at the same time as the Patrol plans.

Welcome Troy. If you can drive for 6 hours, you're welcome to visit me in Amarillo and see my Classic in the covering phase.

Hi Troy,

I hope you get to take Scott up on his offer. His work looks great on his (photo) site. Welcome!

Thanks Scott! I get up to Tradewinds from time to time on Angel Flight missions... I'll definitely look you up! And your site is already bookmarked. How long have you been working on your project?

Hi John, I was reading through your pictures / process last night. Have you started using that lathe yet?

Also, how many posts before you're allowed to send PMs? I'd like to request the link to the CAD drawings from Doug.

Since 2005. I could be done by now but I tend to hibernate in the winter :D

I have not used the lathe for any 'real' parts. I've tried running it to learn how to use it and trying different sorts of blades. I think I'm already to go as soon as I finish making the brackets for the spars. I hope my photos are helpful. Don't know when you can start PM's.

Looks like the answer is: five or six posts! ;-) I was able to PM Doug about the CAD files this morning.
