Just got my plans

I just got plans 154 and I would like to say Hi. I am very excited to get started and will spend the day collecting material to build the rib jigs. Thanks everybody on this board that have been so kind as to post pics of what they have done. it is quite helpful.
Background on me:
I am a private pilot with an A&P and I currently own a 53 Tri-Pacer kept at N57 in Pa.
I currently work as a controls engineer with a packaging equipment manufacturer.
About 20 years ago I built a 427 Cobra replica which I still own but this will be my most ambitious project.
My biggest concern with this project is finances and room. I have three kids that will probably cycle through college during construction and a two car garage that needs to be cleaned out.
Thanks
Ed

Welcome to the forum Ed. I've spent a couple of months making the pieces for the ribs. No doubt this will take a very long time. Once the ribs are made, I'll store them and move start on the fuselage. If you haven't seen my photos, they're here: http://imageevent.com/hatz/

John,
Yours was one of the first that I found while searching the Web. I will be doing a similar rib fixture. Did you make copies of the plans or cut the originals for the fixture?
You are close, if you get finished first can I have a ride?

I did not make copies. I cut the original and covered it with something I bought at Hobby Lobby called Clear Magic (or something like that). As you probably saw, I made sure the distance between the spars was correct and I made a tool to check on that (PM if you need details). Not sure if I will ever finish, but if I do, sure, I'll take you for a ride. By the way, I used copies to make templates of the nose and other rib pieces.
