Completed all alum wing

As most know. I built all aluminum wings (spar, ribs, leading edge). Here is the finished product. Finished wing weighs in at 60 pounds. I am curious as to how this compares to the wood wing?

Hey Michael,

That wing looks really nice, beautiful scallops! We understand it is a lower wing (bracket can just be seen). Does this weight include the aileron and control tube as well? Will note our wings weight when completed.

Thanks. Yes lower wing. Includes control rod but not aeileron.

Lovely wing! I would like to see what your structure looks like. Do you have any uncovered pictures, plans, etc? I am still deciding which way to go...wood or aluminum. Decisions, decisions...

Thank you kindly. I am impressed by all the work. I am curious about this one photo though. In picture three you show a lower wing fitting and was wondering if the shim block is held to the spar by anything other than the three fitting through bolts?

Thanks again,

Michel.

P.S.: Those wing bows must have been a %$#^$ to bend precisely.
