Hi All,
I like the throttle quadrant design (sheet #27), but the more I think about it, the less sense it makes to me:
In my current airplane, and in most planes I have seen, there is no reversal of the throttle and mixture controls - push forward means full throttle / rich mixture.
The throttle quadrant design on page 27 shows that when you push the throttle level all the way forward, the control will reverse and pull the cable all the way back.
seems like this is what we need:
What have others done?

Re: Throttle quadrant - reverse?
Hi,
My Lauzon fuselage for my CB-1 had a bracket welded to the upper longeron, about a foot aft of the firewall, which I used for a reversing belcrank. From there I used a flexible cable to the carb. I may be able to get a picture if you would like to see it.

Al,
Thanks for the reply.
This reinforces my thought that the throttle quadrant which is included in the drawings of the Classic will require a reversal. Seems like it would be better to design the reversal into the throttle (like the one in the picture I attached in my original post) to begin with. The way I see it there are two options that will work: Forgive the crude drawing, it is for conveying the idea only. Option B would save some weight.

I knew the internet would help. Here's Rick Hansen's solution:
interconnect the two cockpits below, and connect to carburetor above the pivot point. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
