Aileron bay rib?

Post by MDL88 »

Hello to all!
Quick question, on the full-size rib drawings, sheet 1, the note in the lower right corner says “leave gussets off of outboard aileron bay rib, see sht 7”
Sheet 7 shows a 3/32” plywood doubler for reinforcement in the area of the aileron. But sht 7 seems to show the reinforcement on both the inboard and outboard sides of the rib behind the rear spar/aileron spar.

So my question is: is the plywood on both sides or just the outboard(aileron) side.

Thanks in advance!

If I remember correctly the gussets are left off the outboard side so that the reinforcement will fit against all the ribs. I put plywood on both sides but it was by accident.

Ok thanks for the input!
It does clearly say the outboard side, I’m just confused by the plans drawing.
