Purchased parts from Aircraft Exhaust Inc. Have not flown yet - but sitting in pit with engine running does not seem to loud. Most sound is directed under the plane.

Thanks for the info, was out there today and I think I can remove the muffler, and make two down pipes to exit out the bottom of the cowl, like it is now, just no muffler. What is the advantage /disadvantage of a crossover exhaust? Thanks Eric

Hi Eric,
I purchased a crossover type with heat muff on ebay. I am pretty sure it will fit, but cowling is not made yet. I did a bit of modifying to clear the engine mount. I noticed this one listed http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Aircraft ... rtsQ5fGear

Thanks for the response. Looks nice! Do you guys think it is too loud without a muffler? Where did you purchase your components? Thanks Eric

You might check out the Pitts type straight stacks. They are simple but rather loud.

Hello, I am new to this group and purchased a CB-1 in June. Have been flying it a ton and enjoy it. This morning I was taxing back to my hangar and one of the exhaust down pipes fell off. My plane has a O-320 out of a Cherokee. It had cabin heat but the builders removed it, but left the heat exchanger on the exhaust. Does anyone know of a simpler exhaust to use? The one on there looks crammed in there, and I do not want to patch it back together. Thanks in advance. Eric (Omaha)
