Finally! I was able to get in touch with Sylvia from Makelan and order my plans set....What am I getting myself into?

Sylvia was ultra nice and efficient with my order, hopefully getting the plans into the mail in the next few days. Seems like we are over 150 plans in the market right now! Thanks John, I tried the number you gave me, which happens to be on the homepage of Makelan...but I tried it at 4pm eastern...rather than when I either got home at night or early morning... That seems to have been the trick.

Hi Michel; I always get Sylvia at 830/905-7832. I just spoke with her a few minutes ago (1635 EDT) Very friendly. Did you try that number? I have plans #149. I'm still trying to digest what I'm looking at. I already feel like I'm getting in over my head. I hope you get your plans soon. Keep trying.

I have been trying to get in touch with Makelan for several months now. I have tried multiple e-mails and phone calls to no avail. I am considering a build or even a purchase if a nice Classic comes up... and I am not outbid :-( One way or the other I will want a set of plans to have a better understanding of the Hatz. One more month then I will have to start designing my own airframe. ;)

Good to hear you got the plans (or so it sounds). Jeff can be hard to reach, but he does eventually get back to you.

Not home, but told I have a delivery from FedEx, so looks like the plans arrived Tuesday, April 3rd.

This is my first post as I don't normally have much to say, but here's my experience so far. I ordered plans 3/7; still waiting. I sent an email and here's the response she sent 3/27:

Hello John,

So sorry for being so late with your order. We have had a delay due to an outside source. The plans were numbered today and will be mailed tomorrow. Your credit card will be charged tomorrow afternoon.

Again, we are so sorry for this delay. Thank you for your business.

It's now 4/2 (morning) and my credit card has still not been charged. I still have no plans.

I promised myself that I wouldn't embark on this crazy Hatz plan until I passed my checkride. Well, I'm happy to report that the FAA recognizes me as a private pilot as of last week! So, I'm running out of excuses to order these plans!
